TNA Wrestling has officially announced the first matches for Lockdown 2026, confirming that every bout revealed so far will take place inside a steel cage as the signature event returns for the first time in nearly a decade.
Scheduled for Sunday, August 23, at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois, Lockdown marks TNA’s first dedicated all-steel-cage premium live event since 2016, when the promotion last presented the concept at Wembley Arena in London.
The headline attraction will see TNA World Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy defend their titles against Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth. The rivalry intensified after The Hardys regained the championships during the four-way ladder match at Slammiversary, where the Nemeth brothers were also participants. With Nic Nemeth already holding the TNA World Championship, the challengers have the opportunity to leave Chicago with both the world and tag team titles.
The Knockouts World Tag Team Championship will also be contested inside the cage as DemonXBunny—the duo of Rosemary and Allie—defend against Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance of The Elegance Brand, accompanied by The Personal Concierge. The championship clash comes after DemonXBunny successfully retained their titles against the same team on the latest episode of TNA iMPACT!, setting up the rematch.
TNA has also added two more steel cage contests to the card. Cedric Alexander will defend the TNA X-Division Championship against rising star Leon Slater, while AJ Francis will meet Elijah in a heated singles encounter inside the cage.
